Cookie Butter Waffles

Friday, July 11, 2014

Yup. You read that correctly. Cookie. Butter. Waffles. You're welcome.
You need:

1 cup - All-purpose flour
1 teaspoon - baking powder
1/4 teaspoon - salt
1/4 cup - brown sugar
1 egg
1/2 cup - milk (plus a little more)
1/2 cup - Cookie Butter

You do:

While your waffle iron is heating up, mix together the dry ingredients (flour, baking powder, and salt). In a seperate bowl, mix the wet ingredients together (brown sugar, egg, milk, and Cookie Butter). Then pour the wet ingredients over the dry and mix just until combined. You may need to add more milk to thin it out. Cookie Butter is thick, ya'll. Be sure to spray some non-stick cooking spray onto your iron to avoid...sticking. Cook until done. Some like it crispy, some don't. Then melt down a couple tablespoons of Cookie Butter to drizzle on top. Done.

Perfect for Saturday mornings...just sayin'.
